The outstanding Russian sportsman Nikolai Valuev, currently retired professional boxer, formerly was a two-time WBA heavyweight champion. In 2005 Valuev became the tallest (7’1 or 2.16 m) and heaviest (323lbs) WBA heavyweight champion in boxing history. Valuev announced his retirement in 2009. Nikolai Valuev has been defeated only twice – by Russian boxer Chagaev and English professional boxer David Haye.
